Palm Beach Gardens mall aims at better tenant mix
The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens is remaking itself following the departure of such tenants as Burberry, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. Electric car manufacturer Tesla will open a retail showroom at the mall by fall, and the Apple Store at The Gardens will expand from 6,000 square feet to 8,300 square feet, making it the mall’s biggest store. In addition, athletic apparel company Lululemon will move into space formerly occupied by Cache.
Al Ferris, the leasing manager of The Gardens, told the Palm Beach Post that the mall is in the midst of a “remake” that will deemphasize luxury merchandise stores in favor of a broader variety of tenants, including such restaurants as Jupiter-based Park Avenue BBQGrille and Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
